EXERCISE AMAN YOUYI is a combined joint exercise is between Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) since 2014. The concept of the exercise is dependent upon the agreement of both parties during the planning for the exercise. The concepts of exercise are STAFFEX, CPX and FTX. The aim of the exercise is to train members of the MAF and PLA in planning and joint training for joint combined operations, especially humanitarian aid. This exercise also indirectly strengthens the good relations between the two countries. The main objectives of the exercise are as follows:

a. Improve interoperability between MAF and PLA in joint combined humanitarian aid operations.

b. Develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the Joint Combined Exercise.

c. Sharing of information and experience between MAF and PLA in dealing with natural disasters.
