EXERCISE TIGER STRIKE is a bilateral exercise between the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and United States Forces (USF), which aims to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness in amphibious exercises. This exercise also demonstrates the cooperation and commitment between Malaysia and the United States in particular to enhance regional stability and security. The objectives of the exercise are as follows:
a. Enhance military ties between the two countries.
b. Creating interoperability between MAF and USF especially in the aspect of amphibious operations thus improving the skills of those involved.
c. Improving understanding of the various stages of planning in particular aspects of training and joint operations.
d. Enhancing the good relationship between MAF, USF and the local community through the implementation of community relation projects and project MAF’s commitment to protect the security of the country especially in the waters of East Sabah.
